LV Viking Booster Club Scholarships

Each year, the Booster Club is honored to award a certain amount of scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated excellence in athletics, leadership, and community service. Applicants must have participated or are currently participating at the Varsity level.  Scholarships awarded are paid to an eligible educational institution (e.g., college, university, trade school, or other post secondary educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.) The scholarship money awarded may be used towards class enrollment for the summer, fall and/or winter semester, immediately following graduation, and can be applied towards tuition, books and/or e-books, student housing and meal plans. The funds are directly deposited into the student account. 

Scholarship Eligibility Guidelines

Families must be active members of the Athletic Booster Club every year that the student-athlete, trainer or manager attends Lago Vista High School to be eligible for a scholarship. 

Parents who are active members must have paid the membership dues and have volunteered in our fundraising efforts at the minimum requirement of two shifts per sport the applicant participates in. Concessions are the Booster Club’s biggest fundraiser and is one of the main reasons we are able to fund a scholarship program for our athletes. 

Applicants must have participated or are currently participating at the VARSITY level to be considered for this scholarship.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the community application provided by the school (LVHS General Application for Local Area Scholarships) and the LV Viking Booster Club Supplement form, with required essay, by the due date.

Applications are due in March. The exact date will be determined each school year. No late applications will be considered. Please check with the LVHS counselor for specific details about any scholarships offered through LVHS. It is the applicant’s responsibility to confirm that the LVHS counselor has received their application.

Each scholarship awarded is directly paid to the athlete’s designated school, whether it be a college/university, community college or trade and/or technical school.
